With the Mortal Ambition season wrapped up, we have a few important announcements to make regarding final rankings.

We have noticed throughout the course of the AMB season, and especially during Revelfest, that several stores are misusing Omnidex when reporting matches. We’d like to take this opportunity to remind all event hosts about proper practices when it comes to reporting events on Omnidex.

- All ranked Grand Archive events must be run through Omnidex and only through Omnidex.
- Only players that are participating in the event may be entered into the event in Omnidex.
- Matches must be played exactly according to event specifications (Best of 1/Best of 3, etc) and cannot be played in a different format.
- Matches must be played to completion, and in a way that complies with the tournament rules and regulations.
- Assigned judges must be actively answering judge calls, should they arise.

Stores that knowingly run events that do not comply with these practices run the risk of temporary suspension, or ultimately permanently losing the ability to use Omnidex due to repeated offenses. Additionally, players that knowingly participate in fraudulent events may be suspended from competitive play if it is found that they are doing so maliciously.

We understand that players take their Omnidex ranks very seriously, and we want to ensure that all player ranks are accurate based on legitimate event participation.

To account for this, after a thorough investigation of all events run during the Mortal Ambition season, we are nullifying the Event Points and Veterency Points changes from all events that we found to be misusing Omnidex. The leaderboards for AMB will be updated to reflect these changes, before final rankings are calculated for ranked rewards.

Stores that were found to be repeatedly misusing Omnidex during the AMB season will receive a temporary suspension. If these stores continue to fail to comply with Omnidex rules once the suspension has lifted, the punishment will be escalated.

We are disappointed that we have to make reminders like this, and hope that we are able to continue doing fun events like Revelfest without having to worry about malicious abuse of Omnidex.
