With the release of Distorted Reflections just over the horizon, let’s take a look at all things regionals for the upcoming season!

Overview

Grand Archive Regionals are Swiss style tournaments which award the top placing players Nationals Qualifier Cards in addition to other prizes.

These cards will be worth 3 Nationals Qualifier Points toward the 2026 Nationals events.

Prizing

Upon entry, players will receive Distorted Reflections Event Packs, Distorted Reflections Booster Packs, as well as the new Distorted Reflections Sapphire Pack.

Sapphire packs are Regionals exclusive packs which contain a single foil card each, from the cards exclusive to the most recent line of preconstructed decks. These cards are not available in foil outside of Sapphire packs. For the Distorted Reflections season, the cards exclusive to Starter Deck: Mirage’s Grave and Starter Deck: Moonpiercer will be available in these packs.

New this season, we are switching out the Regionals binder that was included in previous seasons with a set of official Grand Archive counters and status indicators that can be used during gameplay. Here’s a first look at the box and some counters from this set:

Metal Buff Counter Front
Metal Buff Counter Back
The set will contain one buff, preparation, durability, and ephemeral counter. Additionally, the set will contain four random metal counters from among the following:
- Debuff
- Wither
- Quest
- Enlighten
- Glimmer
- Generic
- Distant
- Fostered
- Imbued
- Ability Used

Each player will get one set of these counters upon entry to a regional taking place in person. Online regionals will not have these items.

Players who place well in the event will earn playmats based on the final standings. A finalist playmat will be given to all players who earn a Nationals Qualifier Card (Top 4/8/16/32 depending on attendance), while the player who finishes in first place will receive a Champion playmat. This season, the finalist playmat features the art of Reckoning’s Wake, while the champion playmat features the art of Lucenia’s Reign. Here’s a first look at these two exclusive playmats!

Of course, the most important prize is the Nationals Qualifier Card. The card players can win this season is a new art of Smoke Bombs featuring Tristan! This card will serve as 3 Nationals Qualifier Points towards entry at the 2026 Nationals.
