Summary
Effective Date: April 1st, 2024(Event hosts may choose to disallow the new Proxia's Vault cards from events until the end of April 3rd.)
Next B&R: April 2nd, 2024
There are no changes in the Watchlist or Categories for this B&R. However, we are excited to announce four new additions to Proxia's vault!

The first card we'd like to reveal is Railey, Arcane's Sight. We wanted to provide an alternative to the current Arcane level 3 champions while staying within the theme of the element and class. With this champion, as opposed to immediately getting a power boost from already-banished Arcane cards, this champion allows players to scale throughout the game through methodically planned turns. We did want to add some counterplay in this design as we felt that it could potentially be problematic if left unchecked. This will allow matchups at higher tiers of play to be self-correcting as players explore Railey's place in the meta. We're excited to see how high you're all able to get those level counters!

For the next card, we'd like to showcase another route players might be able to take tamer decks. Up until now, tamer decks have focused on putting the champion in a supporting role for the beasts and animals on the field. With Silviester, we designed a Tera champion that can turn that strategy on its head; Instead of buffing the allies you control, now the allies you control can directly buff Silviester! We hope that this card provides an interesting alternative in playing Tamer, as more of a beast shaman or monk-themed class. Players will need to use the tools at their disposal to control the board as best they can, keeping all of their animal and beast allies alive until Silviester can hit the field — after which he can start pummeling the enemy!

Next, we'd like to reveal Zanderina, Blinding Light. She is a champion that we designed to support a more aggressive Luxem strategy by offering a large tempo booster upon reaching level 3. The effect of drawing 2 cards and recovering 3 immediately will allow for faster finishers as opposed to the commonly-seen attrition games from Zander. We also wanted her to seem like an attractive "pivot" card that works well with the deleveling mechanic in the game, giving players much higher flexibility and options when deciding how to approach a matchup.

Last but not least, we'd like to introduce Lorrence, Crux Cheater. While we still feel that Sword of Avarice is deservedly banned, we have been considering what might be a fair way to reintroduce the card in the competitive meta safely. As a result, we designed Lorrence. Enabling Sword of Avarice (as well as adding Ascension to hand) with this specific Crux champion felt fine as Lorrence has no other abilities for longer matchups. We hope to explore this exciting new way to play with previously banned or restricted cards and are eager to see Lorrence's place in the upcoming meta. We are also exploring new design space for generating cards to other zones. How Lorrence performs may inform our future decisions regarding design space and the B&R list itself.
About Proxia's Vault
As a reminder, Proxia's Vault is a new way we're addressing specific meta issues by releasing cards that players are allowed to proxy, even at competitive events. Read about the Proxia's Vault policy here:
Watchlist
Category 3
This category will contain all cards that are banned and restricted, proving to be too powerful or too impactful and limiting tournament deck diversity and meta health. Currently, Sword of Avarice, Reckless Conversion, and Crystal of Empowerment are banned.

Category 2
Category 1
This category consists of cards that we don’t consider problematic in the current environment, but are unhealthy for future balance and game design space. This category currently has six cards.

That's all for this B&R update! The next update will be later this week on April 2nd, 2024!
